Small group class with maximum 3 participants ♦ Sewing machines, tools, personalized pattern & fabrics included ♦ Vegan pasta lunch included
Understand pants construction and sewing techniques, by creating a pair based on your sewing level, using a pre-made pattern in your size – that you get to keep after the class and remake again and again! You can choose the leg style that you usually wear. Sustainable fabrics, tools, domestic sewing machines and sewing instructions for home will be provided.
Option 1: Simple Trouser Design
1 session of 8h (full day with 30 minutes break included) ♦ Cost: 195€
The project can be made as a very first clothing project, right after taking the Introduction Class. It is also recommended if you worked on other clothing projects before, and these are the first trousers you are making.
By making this design you will learn
♥ how to understand and work with commercial patterns;
♥ how to plan and cut for maximum fabric use;
♥ how to make simple pattern alterations;
♥ how to finish pants in a flattering way for any body shape using an elastic waistband;
♥ how to easily finish clothes’ bottom (also known as hem);
♥ troubleshooting & different tips and tricks for easy handling of the sewing machine;
♥ many other things you will understand in the process.
Colors and fabrics will always vary, as we work only with leftover materials. The designs shown are just examples. Your choice of fabric will give your pants your unique style. For a very particular vision you are free to bring your own fabric (please mention this when booking, so we can advise).
Option 2: Fitted Trouser Design
1 session of 8h (full day with 30 minutes break included) + 1 session of 4h (on another day) ♦ Cost: 295€
A fitted design is recommended only if you already worked on trousers before. If you would like a challenge and make this as your first trouser project, you are welcome to join, but we cannot guarantee it will be completed in the given time.
By making this design you will learn
♥ how to understand and work with commercial patterns;

♥ how to make simple pattern alterations for an optimal fit;
♥ how to sew complex bag pockets (like the ones you see on jeans);
♥ how to sew a fitted waistband with a button or snap;
♥ how to easily finish clothes’ bottom (also known as hem);
♥ troubleshooting & different tips and tricks for easy handling of the sewing machine;
♥ many other things you will understand in the process.

You will take home

♦ techniques that you can apply also on tops, skirts, jackets, and other types of clothing;
♦ a picture of you wearing your project (optional).
