Class 3 – Skirt


Sewing level required: basic knowledge of using  the sewing machine.

Learn to construct and sew a timeless A-line skirt using classic tailoring techniques for cutting and finishing. This feminine cut is flattering on any body type and is the foundation for popular evening wear designs. You will learn to draft the skirt with a set of simple measurements, without using a pattern – which allows you to easily recreate the skirt in any size later on.

Each class has a clear step-by-step structure and a number of maximum 4 participants, in order to have a complete understanding of the sewing process and to obtain by the end of the class a finished product.


  • how to draft simply a skirt without using a pattern;
  • how to cut fabric to obtain a flared design;
  • how to work with different closing systems;
  • how to sew the classic technique for finishing garments’ waistline, applicable also to pants;
  • how to use the most common technique for finishing clothes’ bottom (also known as hem)
  • many other things you will understand in the process


Your very first A-line skirt and the ability to recreate it by yourself, in any size, at home; a new understanding of fabric in relationship to the body; age-old techniques for putting together a skirt using different elements of design.


A one time session that can be taken on a Sunday, between 14:30 – 20:30 (6 h).

In order to officially reserve your spot, a 50% advance is required, payable through Bank Transfer/Pay Pal. The rest of the amount can be paid in cash, after each class.
