This is a technical class aimed at those who would like to get an in-depth understanding of the sewing machine and take sewing as a hobby. Rather than jumping straight into a project, we will take time to get used to the machine and create some basic handling habits and troubleshooting skills.

You will learn

• how to set up and use correctly the home sewing machine and all its different functions;

• how to use the home sewing machine to sew different types of fabrics, using the most common stitches you will later need in your projects;

• how to understand and fix quickly the most common beginner home sewing machine set-up issues.

The classes take place in our shared upcycling atelier on Friedrichstrasse 23A, 10969 (close to Checkpoint Charlie).

Each class consists of a session of 4 h.

Regular group classes consist of maximum 5 participants per class, to offer everyone individual learning time and a complete understanding of the sewing process.

Home sewing machines, tools, and practice fabrics are included.
